What Can I Expect During My MLD Massage?

The MLD massage is a very delicate treatment involving very light stroking of the body over the appropriate areas to stimulate lymph flow and then applying a sweeping motion towards the nearest major lymph drainage watersheds. Unlike some other forms of massage, lymphatic drainage uses a very light pressure combined with soft pumping movements in the direction of the lymph nodes. As gentle pressure is used, hence there is little or no risk of tissue injury.

As the treatment session unfolds, lymphatic blockages are cleared and the toxins will naturally be loosened and dissipated subsequently through the lymphatic system. You may feel thirsty and increased lethargy after the treatment but this will be temporary due to the stimulated dissipation of the built-up toxins within the body.

For optimal healing effect and maximum rejuvenation of the body lymphatic system, we recommend that you opt for at least 6-8 sessions of regular MLD treatments.
